International Wrestling Organization Information

The IWO is an international wrestling organization that has been around since 1786 BC in Egypt at the start of the Thirteenth Dynasty. It started out underground but grew a following over the centuries and now is one of the premier wrestling organizations in the world.

Since then the IWO has expanded and is now a North American based federation with eight territories that span globally. Each IWO territory has it's own roster that works with the other talent brought in from independent promotions worldwide.

Current IWO recognized titles -
IWO Universal Champion, IWO International Champion, IWO Universal Tag Team Champions, IWO Old World Champion, and IWO New World Champion.

Shows run in this order -
IWO: West - Western US including Alaska and Hawaii
IWO: East - Eastern half of the US
IWO: Canada - All of Canada
IWO: Americas - Central and South America as well as the Caribbean
IWO: Eurasia - Europe, Asia, and the Middle East
IWO: Africa - Continent of Africa
IWO: Australia - Australia and New Zealand
IWO: Oceania - Islands of the South PAcific

Shows are short a synopsis of what happened on the show. Current roster to be released tomorrow. To sign up, just need a character name and your contact info. That's it. Roleplays are replies to the shows and have no deadlines.

There has been talk of moving Hawaii to the IWO: Oceania and merging IWO: Australia with IWO: Oceania into one IWO territory and adding another territory after the merger.

They will be replaced with the following championships:
IWO Pacific Championship - defended only in IWO: West, IWO: Canada, IWO: Oceania, and IWO: Australia
IWO Atlantic Championship - defended only in IWO: Eurasia, IWO: Americas, IWO: Africa, and IWO: East
IWO Hardcore Championship - new belt but with no 24/7 rule
IWO Six Man Tag Team Championship - since there are so many alliances now in the IWO territories there will be a six man tag team championship
IWO Islands Champion - a championship for the wrestlers who compete on the island nations of the world, can only be defended on islands and will mainly be defended in the IWO: Oceania, IWO: Eurasia, and IWO: Americas as well as in IWO: West which has the Hawaiian Islands.
